Instead of buying trinkets, we should all consider investing in our health. The yearly primary care visit isn’t enough! It’s seriously on us to take care of ourselves.
I think everyone should own a scale to weigh themselves https://amzn.to/3S9xDQY and a own a blood pressure cuff https://amzn.to/46o53Bn and check your blood pressure regularly. Together with diabetes & cancer, obesity and hypertension probably lead to the majority of terribly debilitating conditions in our modern world.
Also, our environment is filled with toxins that we are constantly exposed to. Small changes can make a big difference.
Here are some things I’ve brought myself & would consider:
1. Test your air quality
I started testing our air last year with an AirThings monitor to make sure we didn’t need radon mitigation (despite the age of your home- radon is widespread)

2. Quality HEPA Air Filters
Clean air is crucial for good health. Invest in HEPA air filters for your living spaces and bedrooms to reduce pollutants and allergens.

3. Reliable Water Filters
If you research it, Brita seems to be trash. So find something that actually takes out more contaminants. We switched to ZeroWater but there are many others.

4. Stainless Steel instead of plastic for Kids
Ditch plastic dishware for your kids and switch to stainless steel to avoid harmful chemicals. https://amzn.to/4d5X3GX
5. Glass Food Storage
Store leftovers in glass containers to prevent chemical leaching from plastic. https://amzn.to/3Y5dVcU
6. Stainless steel cookware
A pain to clean sometimes, but the ones with nonstick surfaces sometimes end up in our bodies and contain bad stuff
